And the title for Book 2 is:

HALLOWED.

(Happy sigh.)

I am so in love with this title, and so thrilled that the folks at HarperTeen loved it as much as I did.

The word describes something holy and revered, which I think works on SO many levels with what is happening in my book.

(Another happy sigh.)

In honor of the occasion, I'm posting 2 music videos, the first being the only song I could find with the word "hallowed" in it that I could connect with my book:

The second video is OneRepublic's "All Fall Down," which was one of those songs I listened to again and again while I was in the process of writing Hallowed that reflected the emotion of the book.

Hallowed!

So awesome. I love when authors announce titles for their upcoming books. HALLOWED is an intriguing word. Definitely will get a lot of people picking the book up to find out more about it (that is if they have been living in a cave and don't already know about the amazing book UNEARTHLY). :)

All Fall Down is a wonderful song, I listen to it with my own writing and it's become the theme for two of my characters, their relationship, and the world they now have to live in.

Another song you might like is Nina Gordon's "Tonight and the Rest of My Life" it has quite an angelic feel to it. I'd post a link to it, but since I'm going as Anonymous, I wouldn't trust me either.

I just left a comment on Goodreads gushing about your book and now here I am doing the same thing in your blog. Can we say stalker.
But seriously I adored Unearthly and I adore One republic. When you buy the soundtrack from iTunes you get some bonus live recorded videos and one of them is for All fall down. It's so haunting to watch with all these candles around them, I love to watch it.
Great music choices, I absolutely can not wait for hallowed.

Hi Cynthia! I just finished Unearthly, like literally 5 minutes ago, and saw that you had a blog. I just wanted to say it was AMAZING! Can't wait for book 2! Richelle Mead got me interested in this book, and I have been obsessed with her Vampire Academy series for years. Now that her series has ended, I needed something just as delicious to read. That's when she blogged about how awesome you book is. Your books were amazing, it totally surpassed what I expected from it, and leaves me wanting so much more! So Thanks so much for that! Maisie
P.S. Hey its ironic that you and Richelle are pregnant at the same time maybe your children could get together when they are older!

Hi Cynthia, Unearthly was amazing! Just wanted to let you know that you definitely have a following (though I'm sure you already knew that). =) Looking forward to book #2! It's a bummer that it won't be out until Jan 2012.

Absolutely loved Unearthly! Speaking for my daughter too. I happened upon it for my daughter actually and book in hand, started to read it. Couldn't put it down. Now crave #2. Happy you won't disappoint. My particular favorites? The hours of mother-daughter bonding time that follows. Priceless really, so thank you.
