THE BIG DAY

So, the day has finally come. Happy Birthday, Unearthly!

I opened my eyes this morning to that deep silence that only comes with snow, and sure enough, it was snowing in big fat flakes outside.

Happy sigh. Call me crazy, but I am an Idahoan at heart. Winter should have snow. Yesterday when I left Long Beach airport it was 54 degrees and raining. When I landed in Idaho Falls it was 4 degrees below zero. That's nose hair cold. And I went, brrrrrrr, le sigh.

So back to this morning. I bundled up and headed over to Barnes and Noble. In the doorway I was greeted by a big sign announcing my reading on Thursday (7pm!)

The whole time I was in the store with this half-shocked surreal feeling. My. Book. On. The. SHELVES!!! It was in the New YA section, the YA paranormal romance section, in a big stack on a table marked For Teens and, to top it off, it had its own special display! I could not stop staring at it. Seriously. My book on the shelves.

Honestly I'm still a bit speechless.

My book on the shelves!!!!

Yay. Congrats. I managed to get the book last Thursday, almost a week before the release. I was at Barnes and Noble looking for something, and there it was on a display like the one in the picture. I literally jumped up and down infront of everyone in the store and then begged my brother to lend me eight dollars to buy it and another book cause when i saw Unearthly i was like "I need to get this NOW!"

Congratulations on the release of your debut novel. It looks fab and the cover is absolutely stunning, which I'm sure will help it to fly off the bookshop shelves! I look forward to reading it soon.

I just finished reading your book; it took me almost exactly 24 hours. I picked it up before work yesterday and read on both breaks, at lunch, and then till 4am after I was off. I woke up this morning and picked it up again, went to work, and did the same thing until about 9:45, which was the end of my last break, I finished it. Amazing, LITERALLY could NOT put it down. I am going to try and wait patiently for the sequel...I said try...

Congrats, you're a fantastic writer.

Congrats! I live in Rexburg, and I was actually in that B&N Tuesday. I saw your book and smiled inside, because I had just finished it and loved it! :)

I was bummed I didn't hear about your signing until Thursday morning, and I already had plans I couldn't get out of, but it was exciting to know you were here! :)

Again, congrats! Can't wait for the sequel!

I finished your book about a week ago. I LOVED it! Then, when I went in search of the date the next book would be released, I stumbled upon your blog.

My favorite parts of the story were the way you described the angel mythology so thorougly and the unexpected way the story ended.

My only wish would be it would have wrapped up enough to be a stand alone novel. Mostly because I'm still dying to know what happens!

Hello. My name is Monae D. I recently bought your book titled "Unearthly". I have to say that I thought at first that it was going to be hard since I am a Twilight fan but your book is completely different. I like the book and I find that is well worth reading. I am glad that there will be a sequel to the book. I like your writing and I think that you deserve lots of awards for a job well done. Thanks for this book. Thanks for sharing it with the world and to people like me.

YEAH! What a great book! Read it in a little over a day and couldn't put it down. Now I'm just sad that I have to wait a year for the next book! Thanks for all the hard work - which I KNOW is tough when you have a little one at home! :)
